Google Launches A Slick New Version Of Their Google+ App For Android [Updates]

Google is really stepping their game up as far as Google+ on mobile goes. Only a couple of weeks ago they issued a fantastic update for their social network on iOS, and now they have launched a huge update for the Android app. The app adds all kinds of awesome features and makes Google+ on mobile a more enjoyable and beautiful experience. The first feature of the Google+ Android update is the ability to start a hangout from your Android device. All you have to do is click the “Hangout” button, add some friends and click “Start“. If your friends are logged in via a mobile phone, this will ring their phones and let them know that you want to chat. If someone misses the initial call for the Hangout, you can ping them a reminder with a single tap.
The next thing you will notice about the new Google+ Android app is the new navigation ribbon. This makes moving through the application quicker and easier. It looks excellent, too.
Google also cleaned up the Google+ stream in the Android app. Conversations now fade into view, media is displayed in full-screen and the +1 button is now easier to touch.

In addition, the Google+ Android app now adds the ability to download a photo directly from Google+ and make it a wallpaper. It also adds the ability to edit posts inline, which is a feature Google+ users were clamoring for.
The update is available now from Google Play. Check it out, and let us know what you think of it in the comments!
